ILLUSTRATIONS

Early on in the development of the Faction Paradox novels, there was a possibility that the series might follow on from The Book of the War in having internal illustrations. This idea was abandoned, but in an effort to persuade Mad Norwegian Press to make an exception in the case of Of the City of the Saved..., I asked Nick Hallard – my brother, who as luck would have it is a professional artist – to sketch out some speculative pictures of some of the novel's characters and settings.

Perfectly understandably, Mad Norwegian decided that the cost of commissioning and printing illustrations would be prohibitive, but here – exclusive to this site – are the likenesses Nick came up with.
