‘POETRY’
During the mid-1990s I was elected to the position of Society Poet to the (sadly now defunct) Oxford University Douglas Adams Society. The post was a sinecure, my main responsibilities being to run a performance poetry evening once a year and to write material for this and for the Society magazine. The resulting poems were strictly light verse – usually pastiche, in fact. Two of the better ones were:
